Tennis - Pigeon
tune-yards - bizness
A friend I work with for the university’s magazine showed me this a while back. It’s one of the catchiest and best song I heard in 2011, the video and song might seem bit weird and funny initially (I thought so too) but it grows on you!
Fleet Foxes - He Doesn’t Know Why
goats
After Yeasayer’s Tightrope, this song is my 2nd most played in the last 6 months… obsessed!
Warpaint is coming back to Singapore for a concert on August 2nd, and I’m going to miss it, bummer.
Yo La Tengo - Autumn Sweater, 1997
P.S. less than 3 weeks to Venice and I see you in a month wifey!

The Radio Dept - Heaven’s on Fire
Had this for a while and I kept forgetting to post this song!

Foster the People - Pumped Up Kicks
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You’d better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You’d better run, better run, faster than my bullet
A super catchy song that reminds me of Peter Bjorn and John’s Young Folks.

Mumford and Sons - Dust Bowl Dance
This is by far my favourite song by Mumford and Sons, and the best off Sigh No More.
Thanks for the last post wifey, the last week has been pretty incredible! I finished exams about a week ago and since then I’ve found out that I’m going to Venice for the Biennale di Venezia (and if you just type biennale in google this is the first hit, insane I can’t believe I’m going to be part of it), this whole thing is so immensely crazy I’m all over the place right now. I won’t leave till July but I can feel myself getting jittery already! I am so lucky to get a chance to intern and be helping out with one of the biggest art events in the world, wow wow wow (this is probably the gazillionth time I’ve used something on the lines of “insane”/ “crazy”)
The theme for this year’s biennale is Illuminations, and I’m ridiculously excited to see all the international art. In the previous biennales Venice has showcased the likes of Warhol, Edward Hopper, Jackson Pollock, Francis Bacon, de Kooning, etc.. all who were considered the best of contemporary art during their respective time periods!
There’s so much more on the Venice biennale which I won’t ramble on about here, but it’s basically the oldest and biggest international contemporary art event, and needless to say I’m so so so excited (if you haven’t picked it up yet haha).
