An Arcade Fire song to celebrate their win for Album of the Year at the Grammys!

Really liking this song, for some reason the line “you grew your hair so I grew mine” really strikes something within me…

In other news, Death Cab has just announced that their upcoming album Codes and Keys will be released on May 31st (the benefits of having a twitter is that I can follow all these bands and keep up to date haha). Can’t wait for that!

This week has been a good week for music, with the amazing Arcade Fire win, Radiohead announcing that Kings of Limbs is going to be released this Saturday (!!!!!!) and now this!

Best 100 Songs of the Decade

… according to The Rolling Stone.

YYYs’ Maps is at #7! Along with MGMT’s Time to Pretend almost making the top 10. Also, the Postal Service is at #27 (love).

Radiohead, Wilco, Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, Justice, The Rapture, Kings of Leon, TV on the Radio, LCD Soundsystem, The Dirty Projectors, Phoenix, Bright Eyes, and Fleet Foxes also made the cut of the Top 100 songs =]

The 100 Best Albums of the Decade - Radiohead’s Kid A (The Bends is my favourite, but that is from 1995) tops the list, which I am not surprised at =]

—- Though Incubus (Morning View and the latest Monuments and Melodies), Muse (Black Holes and Revalations), The Kooks (Inside In/ Inside Out)should be on that list!

P.S: Holly we should start compiling our favourite songs of the year (a decade seems too ambitious, we were much too young then to appreciate proper music) =]
